My dad is the kind of person that you don't want to tell anything to him because you don't think he would understand. So, what do you do? You go talk to your friends the only people that actually value you. The only differences between my father and I is, well, nothing. We are both the same. Sometimes I don't even know why we talk, it all ends up the same way. We both get mad, your wrong I'm right, nothing short of the truth. But the truth is we are both wrong, if we are going to fight then why do we bother. What is it about your dad that you love to hate. Maybe its the fact that you are so much like him you don't want to see it in yourself.
Well then we are in a draw-pass in our minds, realizing that your both wrong, what is the right way. There is no right way, it is what it is. But I don't believe that, there has to be a healthier way to talk to someone so suborn. So the question is not why do we fight, the question is how can we encourage and love each other along the way. encouraging your father can be one of the hardest things you will ever do. Just the thought of taking time out of your life, find something insisting about what he does, and then on top of that saying nice words about it. No way!
Who should start first the father or the son? That's easy, you have to start. Its all to easy to blame the other person for how things are. you can make that difference. Wouldn't it be nice to talk to your dad with up most respect for what he is saying. Hard to sallow, I think so.
Well then it comes to the plan. What plan? The thing in your mind that thinks and then does something about it. Everyone has it. The plan is this, what are three things you enjoy about your father? What do you find insisting about what he does? What are three nice things you can say about him and what he does?
Now that we have a plan, now comes the hard part. actually getting up and doing it. Doing what? I know, I know, it will be hard as hell but just think about what he will look like when instead of throwing a slap in his face comment you throw a encouraging compliment that will make his head spin. Funny right? Yes! Now we are getting some where.
After that, what now? I might ask myself. Well, nothing you wait. You think. Now, before you get in one of those heated augments you think of those things you said about him. And we will see how hard it is to get mad at him. Your father will see that and there will be a little light at the end of the tunnel.
