Dental Door Drops
Dental Door Drops

A few years ago now the Dental profession was encouraged to move away from NHS work (ie it was made less profitable for them) and establish their businesses into the private sector as had Opticians a few years before that. Opticians practices became very profitable as an outcome and in the last few years so have Dentists.

Both the privatisation of the Optical profession and the Dental profession has seen a huge growth in the availability of these services but that has also led to a significant increase in competition. Where there is competition there is the need to promote or the need to advertise.

Over the years we have seen the development of National chains of optical outlets as well as local ones and there is also a fair amount of franchising in the optical industry. So far there has been no obvious development of national chains of dental practices but we have seen an enormous growth in the establishment of local ones.

Most of us needspectacles so the optical trade will continue to flourish. And now that many of us prefer the work of a private dentist rather than the NHS option the dental trade has become very profitable and in demand. However this all leads to the phenomenonof market share and market share leads to the need for advertising and as most dental practices are locally owned businesses they tend to promote locally and hence a boom in door dropping by dentists.

If you are a dentist and are planning a door drop or would like to do one DOR-2-DOR have sample leaflets fromearlier campaignsthat we can send you to help in your design. Alternatively we can design a leaflet from scratch for you. All we need is your copy and some suitable pics that you would like to use in your leaflet. We recommend a simple A5 leaflet in full colour either single side or double sided. This would be printed by us in full colour glossy paper and the impact on the doormat is quite stunning. A well worded and carefully designed leaflet will have considerable cut through and get your message across to the householder.
