The third edition of the Temporary Exhibition Space & Design was held from 17th January to 11st February 2011. The course was attended by 38 selected architects and designers, coming from all over the world, who were divided into 7 teams.
The teams had do elaborate seven innovative projects for the retail sector and trade shows, seven as the number of the course sponsors: renowned brands such as Unicredit and Argenta Group, products and trade show organisations.
PreGel, a leading italian company in the production of products for gelato and pastry sectors, has been chosen as an Academic Sponsor for the third edition of this high-level course.
The course developed through frontal lessons by Politecnico di Milano lecturers and renowned professionals, educational tours to retail and entertainment spaces and trade shows.
PreGel, along the other Academic Sponsors, played an active role in the training programme with lectures and in-depth analysis of its business sector.
The team which was assigned to PreGel had to design a an innovative project for a new kind of gelato shop.
Andrea Manfredi, architect and lecturer of POLI.design and educational coordinator of the course, underlines that: "The element that all the courses have in common is aim of facing business reality, that can be accomplished through collaboration with the Academic Sponsors. It's a very relevant aspect for our designers, to get in a deeper touch with the current business reality. The professionals who attend our courses are already joined the working world and need to receive a tangible, functional and professional updating about their activity".
