If you want the best chance at succeeding, then just start by using the most recognized Hosting platform available today.
Now as far as your domain name goes, it will help you much more if you can use some of the keywords from your niche research that you should have completed. A keyword rich domain name with a high search volume will get you much more traffic to your site. You
can register a domain name with any company you like but there are some differences between them, I use only one Domain Name Registrar myself and have dozens of names with them and have never had any problems. Just type in keywords into the domain name search and see if you can come up with one that is still available, always go with a .com if at all possible.
