Nokiareleasing its first touchscreen device running the latest version of S60 this year. The Nokia 5800 Tube has been caught in the wild for quite a few times and we have even seen screenshots of the browser. However, the Finnish giant is still quiet about the release date.
The 5800 XpressMusic will first ship to the UK on October 8th, with other countries to follow suit in due time . the latest version of S60 on October 8th. Theresidentsof the UK will be the happy recipients of this launch, as that's where it's supposedly going to belaunchedon said date. Whether it's a rumor or not, the answer will be out in about a month.
Being an XpressMusic handset the Tube should have great audio capabilities, which can be enjoyed through your own headphones thanks to the 3.5mm jack plug. Video should be good too as a TV-out socket is provided. Aninternalmemory of 140MB is larger than many these days, but of course you can store all your media on a MicroSD card up to 8GB in size. It's not going to be a bulky thing either, with its 14.5mm thickness and 104 gram weight.
When the Tube was shown as being a mid-range phone, many thought it would be lacking in features and would leave its desirability down to the touchscreen, but this line-up shows almost the exact opposite! Even the screen itself is impressive as it has a 16:9 ratio making it perfect forwatchingmovies! An official Nokia announcement is expected before the end of the summer and we cannotwaitto get our hands on this one!
