Sometimes the term is used as a euphemism for problems similar to old electrical system or plumbing, but usually it's used positively. Older homes do enjoy character. They aren't "cookie cutter" homes close to you see in the mass produced homes built today. They are peerless in role, and unlike the home built next to them, contained by size, materials, or design.
