My girlfriend dumped me but now she's all I think about. I miss her all the time. I want to call her so bad just to see how she is and find out if she misses me. But she doesn't want to talk to me. I know she wants me to stay away but I'm not sure how I can do that.

You have a solution in mind. All you need to do to solve your problem (the pain you're feeling right now) is to get your girlfriend back. With this in mind, your every waking moment is consumed with trying to get her back.
The Rub
But there's a problem with your solution. The harder you push and more you try to get your ex back, the further away she seems to be slipping. In fact, some girls can be frightened by your attention after the relationship has ended. You don't' want to scare her. You love her, right? There has to be a better way.
The Better Way
What if I told you that you can get your girlfriend back but it's going to take a major sacrifice on your part to do it? You'd probably want to know about the sacrifice right? Well it isn't nearly as painful as you'd think.
You see, all you need to do to get the ball rolling in the right direction to save your relationship and get your ex back in your life is to give her a little time and space.
But, that's something that is a LOT easier to consider in the abstract than to do when your heart is in the process of breaking because she's gone. The better way means you're going to have to cut off all attempts to contact her for at least a month but the longer you can manage the better the results are sure to be. You want to make her come looking for you.
But, no contact means NO CONTACT. There should be no texting, voice mail, email, phone calls, drive bys, FaceBooking, Twittering, or dropping in unannounced in the places you believe she'll be. It means no contact of any kind. If you happen to run into one another it's time to turn around and leave the room no matter how much you want to run up and talk to her.
