How To Keep Creating Great Content For Your Blog

Blogging is a great way to earn money online. When you provide valuable information that people are actively seeking, it can be easy to turn that into money. How do you create valuable content? Here are a few tips for doing so.

Get Creative

Creativity is the key to spicing things up on your blog. Look at the topics that most people are blogging about in your niche. Then dissect them, and come up with a unique point of view that no one has seemed to touch on yet. Add your personality into your posts. People will read one blog over another if they like the writer's personality. Don't be afraid to show unique qualities.

Use Different Formats

Take a look at most blogs and find out what format the most popular blogs are using. Most blogs are just written postings. Maybe you could create some videos for yours. Instead of just typing one out, get on camera and read the blog as if you were just talking to someone. Some people may tremble at the thought of being on camera. In that case try creating an audio blog, or a pod cast. Same principle, only it's audio instead of text or video. If you still wanted to have a written version, you could still post up the text underneath the video or audio to provide your readers with multiple formats.

Don't Be Too Serious

No matter how serious your subject matter is, don't take yourself or your subject too serious. Have fun with your posts. Get wacky. Sometimes people just want to have a good time when surfing the net. If they like your personality enough to read your blog, chances are they'll get a big kick out of a funny video you make. Just don't be afraid to joke around a little bit. It can be a huge way to increase readership and/or viewership.

Top 5 Lists

If there are a lot of hot button issues in your blog, try creating a top 5 list similar to the David Letterman show. Have a weekly top 5 where you share your unique thoughts and opinions on each hot button issue that may be happening. A top 5 video would be even better. That could be your weekly departure from standard text posts. Believe it or not, people would probably start "tuning in" each week to see your top 5 list.

Whatever you decide to do to create content for your blog, just try to use your imagination and creativity. Ignore your internal voice that says, "Don't do that, that will make you look stupid!" or "That is a dumb idea, no one will think it's funny." Test things out and see what works. You could be surprised at what people find the most entertaining and engaging. Once you hit on something that your readers like, that is a great way to increase readership and ultimately to make more money from your blog.
