Hanson Tickets - Still 'Mmmbopping' to their Own Beat

They might not be "mmmbopping" to the same sound as a few years ago, but Taylor, Zac and Isaac Hanson still have that fresh poppy melody sure to get them onto the Billboard charts, as their fifth album appears this year. The first set in three years, Shout It Out was self-produced and recorded in Texas, Oklahoma and California.

"Every record is important," Taylor said to Billboard. "But this one feels likea reflection not just of right now but a selection of things we've been putting in records for the last fifteen years."Have you been following these guys since they found mainstream fame with "Mmmbop"? Chances are if you were an American pre-teen in 1997, you've been following Hanson tickets from http://www.stubhub.com for years, so act now to get these tickets today.

15 years is practically a lifetime for the trio of boys who all found success before reaching the legal age. "Mmmbop" remains one of the biggest pop debuts in history and was the group's most successful hit to date with chart positions in the United States, UK, Germany and Australia. Named one of the best singles of the year by The Village Voice, the tune earned the group two Grammy nods. Obviously these brothers have success but throw away any preconceived definitions of their new style.

Performing an impromptu acoustic concert at the Billboard studios, the Hanson brothers drew influences in Ray Charles' performance during The Blues Brothers, a funky soul classic that is anything but "mmmboppy." The first music video "Thinkin' 'Bout Somethin'" mirrors Ray Charles' part in the film, which the group parallels their own song. "Literally the scene almost looked like it was made for our song, so that idea of recreating that scene from 'Blues Brothers,' it touched on so many different nerves for us."

On June 8 Hanson's fifth studio album will appear on the group's 3CG Records. Though they've been together as a band for over a decade, Shout It Out is a new ride for the Tulsa, Okla. natives. Fame found them as teenagers thanks to their catchy pop, but they have since retreated to music of earlier generations "a '70s rock band" as Taylor says on the group's website. Growing up as "white guys from the Midwest [who listened] to '50s and '50s soul," continues Taylor, the 2010 album embodies their youth.

While their name might be synonymous with '90s bubblegum pop, few could detail every move the band has created since that '97 hit. Though Hanson has remained, it wasn't without some struggle. For four years they faced hurdles most musicians with millions of followers wouldn't expect to find when executives forced a sound Hanson couldn't produce, the brothers created their own indie record label in 2003. 3CG Records materialized just as the brothers continued to grow, recording new indie releases hinged on their passion for the past and their own humanitarian efforts. 2007's The Walk was Hanson's own version of a philanthropic movement it turns out that they needed "a breath of fresh air" during The Walk Tour, and out came Shout It Out.
