My Personal Review On Motorola Digital Audio Baby Monitor
The best display in eight years trying to find a good Eight years ago, we had our first child, and started the search to find a decent baby monitor. We lived in a small house (1200 square feet) and is used only for the hours between naps and bedtime and ours because their room was next to ours.
Despite this modest need we had many problems with everyone who tried. Only one of these monitors is still available for sale, Sony Babycall. That the monitor can not pick up our sons room 20 feet away, but it sounded to us, shouted static and picked up the cordless phone calls better than the fourth quarter of our son. Was dramatically affected by climate. At that time, also was a first and a monitor from Graco, both with similar problems. The beep randomly when the signal is lost all you crazy.
Then we moved into a two-story house large (2000 square feet). We've added a wireless telephone system and Wi-Fi. Graco Monitor, a kind of father two rechargeable batteries, is now needed at night and often woke us up, beeps, and he had lost the connection to the base unit. Many times I have traveled the Internet in search of a solution, learning about the frequency of usage of different devices, even tried to buy a new model, another Graco Monitor, very expensive, you just lose the connection and air would dead, no beeps and never re-establish the connection. That happened twice and returned to the store.
Before buying it, I called Motorola to see how often it is used. The techncian told me it was 2.4 to 2.46 or something. I do not think this is DECT as another reviewer said, not what my box said when he arrived. I was worried, because 2. 4 GHz is the level of my wi-fi works at least in my router N. However, my fears were unfounded. The box says it is for Wi-Fi and they were right.
This monitor is very reliable, where so many others have failed. I have used it for about a month. Never lost touch, never rang. Only reliable service every time you turn it on. We are so relieved to have finally found one that we do not go crazy and work as promised!
We do not need a video monitor, control of temperature or humidity control (?!). We just need to know if our son is awake, asleep, or we need. I think it's all the parents really need. But the market is saturated with all this crap from others, while the technology has not evolved to ensure that they actually work. Thank you, Motorola, to fill that void!
We love having a rechargeable battery with a long life. Its pleasing appearance. The only way to improve it would make a receiver 2 sets of parents. It even load 2 cables would be good, so it could be one above and one below.
If you have wi-fi interfering with your reception or analog monitors have been disappointed, this is to try, that should work for most people because we have most of the technology causes interference and it works for us.
