ICx Technologies, Inc. Providing a full range of services as Systems Manager for the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT), ICx helped to develop a ten-year strategic transportation plan. Today, it was awarded a systems manager contract valued at up to $11 million by the City and County of Honolulu for a Joint Traffic Management Center (JTMC). The City and County of Honolulu, in partnership with the HDOT, are working to implement a JTMC with the primary purpose of actively managing traffic both during normal and incident operations. This new contract will allow ICx to assist the City and County of Honolulu to design and implement its JTMC which will provide active traffic management functions, improving transportation safety, efficiency, and the quality of life on O'ahu. With the contract currently funded for $2.7 million, the company will support the design and implementation of the technologies and systems within the JTMC building that enable operations. The JTMC is planned for occupancy in 2014.
