Lincoln Works on Improvements for the 2010 MKX

The Lincoln MKX is a mid-size luxury SUV, which has been produced by the Ford Motor Company and sold under the Lincoln brand name since the 2007 model year. The 2010 Lincoln MKX comes with just one engine option, which is a 3.5-liter V6 engine. The six-cylinder engine produces a modest 265 horsepower, which is coupled with a six-speed automatic transmission. A common complaint is that the MKX does not come with a manual transmission option.

The MKX comes standard with front wheel drive, but can be upgraded to all wheel drive. The MKX gets similar fuel efficiency as other mid-size luxury SUVs. With front wheel drive, the Environmental Protection Agency estimates that the 2010 Lincoln MKX gets 17 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway. If the MKX is upgraded to all wheel drive, the SUV gets 15 miles per gallon in the city and 22 miles per gallon on the highway.

The 2010 Lincoln MKX uses the same engine as the Ford Edge, which is also produced by the Ford Motor Company. The 2010 Lincoln MKX is the last model in the first generation of the Lincoln MKX. The previous year's models of the MKX use the same engine as the 2010 MKX.

Beginning in the 2011 model year, the Ford Motor Company plans to introduce the second generation of the MKX. The second generation of the Lincoln MKX is planned to have a more powerful engine, which will be a 3.7-literr, V6 engine. The new Lincoln MKX is expected to produce a more powerful 305 horsepower.
