Getting paid to complete surveys has gotten a reputation for being one of the intents biggest scams on the internet. I don't know anybody who admits to completing surveys, but I thought I'd look into a bit. The whole concept behind making money through surveys is based on the premise that big companies formally paid market research organization to gather consumer data. Now with the advent of the internet these same companies released that they could easily go right to their own customers and gather valuable information at a fraction of what they use to pay others to collect.
One product that I looked into is called Paid Surveys And More by Kimberley Robbins. Ms. Robbins says that she is a mother of 3 who was tired of corporate America and just wanted to stay at home with her kids. Someone turned her on to getting paid to compete surveys and the rest is history. Ms. Robbins says that there is big money to be made here.
This is what she describes on her website:
Online Surveys $10 to $75 per survey completed.
Focus Groups $45 to $120 per hour to participate.
Review Products i.e. shoes, cell phone, soap.
Preview Movie Trailers $12 to $35 pr preview plus answer some questions.
Ms. Robbins explains that there are more companies looking for people to complete surveys every day and so the demand for exceeds the supply of surveyors. That's why they pay so well, according to her. She says that the whole process is simple and efficient.
Login to your account and find out what surgery's are available.
Find the highest paying surveys.
Select the survey that interests you and add it to your list.
Complete the survey, participate in the focus group etc.
Make sure you get credited properly in your account once completed.
According to Ms. Robbins the amount of money that can be made depends only on how often you are willing to participate. She says she earns around $5K a month. When I went searching for information on getting paid to complete surveys, I found a lot of people who are pretty disappointed at what they received. From what I could gather, the number of surveys that are available is limited and the payout is not that good. It seems that you have to qualify for certain surveys and so you just can't pick and choose the ones you want. You must fit certain criteria in order to participate and the payout is much lower than Ms. Robbins suggests. Most people struggle to make it worth while and even if they are willing to sit down and complete the surveys, there are enough of them that they qualify for, so they can't make lots of money.
The word on the street regarding Paid Surveys And More is fair to poor, but I found that this is true for most of the outfits who are in this niche. Most of the people who participated were not happy with the results. One organization that receives pretty good feedback, however, is called Global Test Market. I still don't think you can make a living by just completing surveys even with a fairly reputable group like Global Test Market, but if you're interested they don't charge you to sign up. Paid Surveys and More charges $24 to $69 for the information packet.
