Modern Co-Op Registration Can Bring Great Results to Your List Building Campaign

It doesn't matter how simple or how advanced your marketing plan is, you're going to need to put in some elbow grease if you are going to make a list that continues to grow and improve. It isn't necessarily hard or complicated work, but it does take a persistent input of time and energy. It also generally helps if you use a number of different methods to build your list. Mix traditional and more cutting edge methods. Combine active and passive methods. Use as many methods as possible and you will get the widest variety of leads from the widest variety of areas possible. The non-traditional, more modern methods especially are great to incorporate as they tend to work very well and most people aren't desensitized to them yet. Co-Op Registration is one such modern method that can really produce some great results for you.

Co-registration is a new method that is quickly emerging as one of the fastest methods developed for building an opt in list. One of the great things about it is you can use this method before you even have anyone on your list, which makes it more valuable for beginners than things like list dumps or joint ventures which won't be available to them. Co-registration is pretty well designed to build up a list from scratch, though it can also be really helpful once you are already up and running. You will need to have your autoresponder set up, however, if you are going to utilize this method, and you are going to need an active website, preferably one that is already getting some level of traffic.

So what is this method? Basically, you are going to be offering people the ability to join multiple lists at one time. It's kind of like a department store or clearinghouse where people go to join a list. Like a department store, people go on to a co-registration site and they begin to browse around according to what they are looking for. The go to sections of the co-registration site that are devoted to different niches or different types of products or services. In each of these sections there will be small blurbs about the different mailing lists that are posted and available to join in each of those niches.

Visitors can search as general or as specific as they want, and when they find the niche they are looking for they can read through their newsletter options. When they see a newsletter that they are interested in joining, all they have to do is put a check mark next to it and then keep browsing. At the end they input their personal contact information, and the site signs them up for each of the newsletters that they put a check next to.

This is a fast way to build a list, but it has a couple of downsides. First, it is a paid method, so you need to be able to subscribe to these sites to put your newsletter on them. Second, some autoresponders don't like co-registration and consider it buying links, and will kick you out of their service if they see you using one of these site.

But if you have some money, and if you are using an autoresponder that is friendly to these sites, than co-registration is one of the fastest list building methods around.
