Let loose and go out with your friends. Don't drink too much but by all means drink. It will loosen you up a bit and get a change of perspective.
Look for a rebound relationship. It's a common knowledge that people easily get over the pain when they have someone else beside them. Someone intimate. Though you'll never know whether that rebound relationship of yours can become a lifetime partner. At least you're open to new relationships.
Focus on your hobby. This is the most common way to cope up with a painful breakup. Work on the things you love doing. It will keep your mind of the painful experience.
After finally coping up with a painful breakup, you have a choice whether to get your ex back or just move on.
If you've decided to get your ex back then listen carefully.
Plan it as soon as possible, your ex is not going to be around forever...They will eventually find somebody else and they are going to hook up with them...They are going to fall in love, they are going to have sex...so on and so forth...
