Another glaucoma surgery that is administered to remove portion of the iris to improve the flow of fluid is iridectomy. Implants or shunts are other glaucoma surgery procedures that will create direct channels for the fluid. Modern surgical methods can successfully make new passage ways for the fluid to flow that are less invasive. The development of glaucoma can be put off with glaucoma surgery treatment.
