There are many interesting attractions in Bristol, that can be seen while staying in Bath.

Explore@ Bristol is a unique interactive science experience for all ages. Describing the workings of many things around us from the power of water to flight. With its own planetarium you find out how to navigate through space and discover stars. With Your Amazing Brain you will find out how your brain works; and in the curiosity zone you will be able to find out more about the world including magnets, sound and vibration. Space will allow you to find out how space research influences food and objects in our everyday lives.

Another major attraction is Brunel'sSS Great Britain. The ship which was built in Bristol was launched in 1843 and was the world's first ocean going iron ship driven by a propeller.

The ship had been used as a liner, cargo vessel and troop ship before being abandoned in Falklands Islands. After over thirty years she was salvaged in 1970 and towed back to Bristol. Following restoration the ship is no on display in the dockyard that she was built in allowing visitors to see what life was like as a passenger.

Bristol as a city has many different areas and particularly at weekend is quite a cosmopolitan city with its viborant nightlife bars and clubs, andactive university, the quay area offers many bars and restaurants, popular with students, and the nearby old back streets behind the old fish market house many exciting pubs and bars.With the indoor market a unique array of individual small shops hosting a treasure trove of products, well worth a visit!

The newly opened Cabot Circus Shopping centre is also a very popular destination, on of the largest in the area, and has a large multi- storey car park.

Bristol is an interesting city in the South West of England with good communications and access the the motorway netwok of the M4 and M5.
