You will be hard pressed to find a larger pair Patapon fans than IGN editor Jeff Haynes and myself. Jeff reviewed the first game I fell in some secondary comments, and we both pretty much declared the title from Pyramid and the Sony one of the largest UMDs on the planet. Still, when we got our hands on Patapon 4, there was a time when we thought the worst. The first few missions are basically the same as the first pair in the original game, Patapolis layout is the same and the game certainly feels a lot like its predecessor. In short, we worried that one of the greatest PSP game had just churned out one of the most ho-hum sequels.

Without doubt, Patapon 4 better than its predecessor in every way. It is longer, there are several songs that are more characters, there are more monsters, there are several elements that are more mini-games and there are several things I could mention here. It feels well-worn territory at times? Yes, especially in the beginning and end, but anyone foolish enough to say that this is Patapon 1.5 plays original and see how far off the mark, the perception in reality.

Like last time, opens Patapon 4 on a down note. At the sunny end to Patapon, the tribe got restless and set sail to continue his quest to find the Worlds End. On the Evolution Tree, you can use food, alloy, and other items you have purchased in the struggle to evolve the warrior in one of 16 Rarepons that each have their own abilities and drawbacks. Some are good to resist critical hits, but weak against fire, some are weak against ice, but is insanely powerful, and some have awesome names like mofo - any way you slice it, this is all explained to you before you create the character . Once you settle on one type Rarepon, you can begin to pour resources into the same class level, specificity up. Obviously, this process makes your character stronger and can continue until 10th Level
