Are you just about to embark on your driving life? Have you started driving lessons, or are you about to take your test? A recent report from a breakdown firm has said that drivers in the east of England are more likely to pass their test first time. Not so great news if you live in the west. The average driver takes 1.98 attempts to pass their test in the UK, but statistics in the east are considerably higher, with attempts falling in the 1.87 range. Learners in the south east and around the London area seem to be the biggest sufferers, taking up to 2.11 attempts to pass their test.
The best ways to pass your test, the report suggests, is not to be taught by your dad. It states that this way you are more likely to pick up bad driving habits, so the best way to learn is through a rigid driving school.
Busy, complex roads in London and the South-east appear to contribute to learners there finding it slightly more difficult,' said AA Driving School director Simon Douglas. In some less-populated regions, learners find it relatively less challenging. But these variations pale in comparison with the difference between those who do and don't learn with professional instructors.'
If you are learning, or have just passed your driving test, then make sure you have comprehensive Car Insurance. It can be another added expense, but Cheap Car Insurance is readily available online and can save you heaps of time and money.
