When someone breaks up with you, they often break your heart. The last thing you want to hear is how you will mend. Yes, you will mend eventually, but this is not the time for anyone to say things like "time heals all wounds, etc." because that won't really help at all. You are better off letting your steam out.

People usually get back together after the break up. It's not a big deal. Think about it if someone loved you one time in their life, do you think they won't fall in love with you once they realized how wrong they are for throwing you out.
