subject: Branded Ink Cartridges [print this page]

At some point, most printers will require a change of ink cartridge in order to continue printing to optimum levels.

Although it may often be tempting to replace ink cartridges with generic unbranded cartridges, it is generally suggested that the branded options are much more compatible for any printer.

Although there are some good quality non specific types of inks and ink cartridges, printer manufacturers generally recommend that the specific branded inks should be used with their printers and equipment.

This is because for some uses, the print quality of a branded cartridge is of a much higher quality.

For instance, although, for general black text printing, there may be little real difference between the branded and unbranded varieties, for documents and other paperwork with more coloured sections and deeper tones, the branded varieties of ink may produce much better quality print.

For other printing needs such as photographs, generic inks may not be able to produce the good quality printing which may be required.

The branded ink cartridge has been specifically designed to fit into the manufactured printer. The quality and make-up of the branded ink granules have been specifically constructed to produce good quality print via the specific mechanisms of the printer.

It is often the case that unbranded and generic inks are less refined and coarser and can potentially cause clogging in the printing machine.

Although it is generally assumed that the generic ink cartridges are much cheaper, they do tend to last far less time than branded varieties. Branded ink cartridges are generally much longer lasting than the generic types and in the longer-term can help save a great deal of money.

At Internet-Ink we have a massive range of branded inks and ink cartridges from manufacturers such as Canon, Epsom, Brother and many more all at affordable prices.
