Tired of doing the same old vacation each year? Consider checking out Mother Nature's gift: Waterfalls. They're all over the world but where are the best, most awesome waterfalls in the world? Choosing the best would be difficult and would probably get me a lot of hate mail but here are three "can't miss" waterfalls. Our members from all over the world made their suggestions. And the best part is that checking out Mother Nature's Falls is perfect for any style of vacation you are planning. A popular suggestion from members was Iguaz Falls in Argentina. The most popular part of Iguazu Falls is called "Devil's Throat" which is a horse-shoe shaped waterfall that is 269 feet wide and 2,300 feet long. The waterfall here at Iguazu is arguably the most powerful of all and many claimed that it appears to go up from the pool not down to the pool. Be sure to grab the "Train of the Forest", the railway going through the park to the footbridges below. The Iguazu River starts at the city of Curitiba and runs to the border of Brazil and Argentina. Avoid the busy season of January and February when all the locals come. Best time would be October (off season and best prices). The next waterfall is my favorite. It's located on the tiny island of Kauai, Hawaii. Take one look at Hanakapi'ai and you'll be thinking Jurassic Park for sure. Don't worry, no dinosaurs here. Named after a Menehune Princess, this lush green tropical landscape is a favorite for many travelers. The waterfall is much more narrow than Iguazu in Argentina and not as powerful but its beauty and tranquility is hard to match. Hanakapi'a falls over several hundred feet to the natural pool below. Not exactly highly accessible, it's an eight mile hike to get there through some of the most gorgeous rainforest landscape you will ever see. Keep in mind, this is the rainforest so be sure to pack bug repellant and water. And be sure to avoid the crowds during the summer. The final waterfall is located on the border of New York and Canada and it needs absolutely no introduction. It has been dubbed the mother of all waterfalls. Can you guess it? Of course, it is Niagara. It's actually divided into 3 different falls with 2 being on the US side (Bridal Veil and the American Falls) and the 3rd (Horseshoe Falls) on Canadian side. Century long debates argue which country has the best view but it's hard to go wrong with Niagara. Most people agree that the absolute best view is from the water. That's right, get in the water and see the falls up close with your poncho and rain gear. Take the "Maid of the Mist" and get right into the action. Summer is high season and you'll be fighting the crowds. Members suggested, if possible, going right before or right after summer to avoid the heavy crowds of the summer months. Ready to try something new this year on vacation? Say no to the typical "sun and fun" and consider checking out what Mother Nature has to offer. See the natural treasures like waterfalls around the world. You'll find great timeshare resort options like RCI Timeshare and Marriott Timeshares located nearby most waterfalls that you can exchange your timeshare for. If you don't own a timeshare right now, consider timeshare rentals as a way to try out the timeshare concept without having to plunk down all that money to buy them. No matter how you get there or where you stay, the waterfalls in this article are sure to give you memories to last a lifetime. And checking out these waterfalls is a great adventure for a romantic couple or a family vacation. But don't forget, with waterfalls comes lots of water. So be sure to pack your favorite rain ponchos and a waterproof camera.
