How I Saw The Chiefs Game
How I Saw The Chiefs Game

One cold winter night, we went down to Kansas City, Missouri to catch the Kansas City Chief playing a Mondal Night Football Game. The chilling wind was not enough of a deterrent to prevent me from going.During that season, the Chiefs have three slots for the Monday Night games. I can still remember how I was the one assigned to keep our Chiefs tickets for the game. Finding a ticket to the games of the Chiefs is difficult already and the tickets to the Monday games are almost impossible to come by.

Immediately after the end of the classes, we made our way down to go to the Arrowhead stadium. The excitement even for a 12th grader was difficult to contain. While driving down, I was told that there would already be many people there tailgating. Interacting with our fellow Chiefs ticket holders would enable me to learn more about the sport and the team as well. Hearing their tailgating stories is also entertaining. In no time, the parking lot of the stadium was already filled and more people are still coming.

When the gates were opened and people were allowed to come in, the queues were almost unbearable. People are coming in from every side. It was not the most comfortable place to be waiting in line. I was told that it was to be expected since Monday night games were the most popular. I was once again educated on how lucky I was to be holding the Chiefs tickets for there were still people waiting in line to try and get their ticket to the games.

The stadium was roaring with excitement when we entered. It was a view of organized chaos. People are coming from everywhere. There are people already passed out from drinking too much during the tailgating. The first few second after the games started was in utter silence. However, the stillness of the night was suddenly disrupted by the chanting fans. The stadium was buzzing with all the cheering and celebrations being done in every corner of the stadium. Only then did I realize how involved the fans really were to the games of the Chiefs.

To avoid the mad rush after the game, we already left the stadium even before the game ended. Seven point were already in favor of the chiefs. The exact events that happened that night were cloudy but the experience is still remembered.
