First thing first, you have abusiness, now what? You need a website. OK, now what good is a website if no one can see it. Am I right? of course I am. So, your next step is to make sure youoptimizeyour site. Why is it important tooptimizeyour site you ask? Well, I will tell you. When someone goes to a search engine (" Google", "MSN", " Yahoo" , "Bing" ) and so on. They type in a word they are searching , for example , someone types in shoes and you own a shoe store, what are the chances of your site to be pulled from all the other shoe websites on the internet? I will tell you, very slim if you dontoptimizeyour site. Look at the tabs on the top of your web page , what does it say? Home or worst does it say Index? Your site is notoptimized.
Tooptimizeyour site you need to do your homework on HTML and CSS codes. Its in your coding that all themagichappens.You have your meta-tags, links, images and description tags in your coding that must be filled out. For an example of your sitescodingdo this:

How do Search Engines pick up my coding on my website. These softwares are called Robots, crawlers, they have a few names but they basicallycrawlyour site and read your codes. So let say a potential customer types in a Search Engine , "Shoes" . The Robot/ Crawler will crawl your site and sees the word shoes in your Tags. You have a good chance of being pulled to the Search Engine. Now your client sees your site. They call you or come to your storefront and you gainedbusiness.
