Tips for safe holiday shopping!!

When carrying a purse, keep your purse "away" from traffic,to the inside of sidewalks, and closest to buildings. Only shop at night if an absolute must, and if so carry a personal safety product such as a Stun Gun or Pepper Spray. Shop during daylight hours whenever possible. If you must shop at night, go with a friend or family member.

Dress casually and comfortably so as to not draw attention to yourself. Leave a lot of the "bling" rings and other jewelry at home

because the extra gold will make you stick out in public as a potential victim.

Do not carry a purse or wallet, as these are prime targets of thieves during holiday shopping seasons.

Always be looking for escape routes, and how your surroundings are changing. When approached by a group of people, make casual eye

contact. The main point I am trying to make is, PAY ATTENTION to your surroundings.

At all costs, do not carry large amounts of cash. Use a debit or credit card whenever possible when paying for items and do not flash a lot of cash as this could draw attention to you.

Keep your wallet or cash in your front pocket so you can always feel anyone trying to pick your pocket.

Notify the credit card issuer immediately if your credit card is lost, stolen or misused.

Keep a record of all of your credit card numbers in a safe place at home.

Do not overload yourself with packages. You always need a clear line of sight and the ability to make a break for it if needed. If planning for a lot of shopping, make multiple trips to your vehicle and lock your items in the trunk or out of sight, if possible.

A must have for shoppers nowadays is the Rear View Mirror Camera with Front & Rear Color Cameras, Built In DVR and Audio because it will view and record all movement in and around your vehicle alerting you to suspicious behaviors.

Beware of strangers approaching you for any reason. At this time of year, "con-artists" may try various methods of distracting you with the intention of taking your money or belongings.

Whenever shopping, try to park as close to the building, close as possible to a light pole, and away from large vehicles that could become a "shield" for crime.
