Built by King Rama V in 1900, the Vimanmek mansion also known as the Vimanmek Palace is a former royal palace located in the Dusit Palace complex in Bangkok, Thailand. After the construction of Amporn Satan Residence was completed in 1906, he left the Vimanmek palace.

In 1982, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit discovered that with its intricate architectural style that was still unharmed, the Vinmanmel mansion could be renovated to be used as a museum, thus it was transformed in to a museum commemorating king Rama V with a showcase of his personal art, photographs, handicrafts and more that represent national heritage of the country as well.
