I have to share, that one thing I love is bubbles. They float across the room and bring a calm to us as we watch them. I worked in an office that was particularly stressful; our department was full of overworked and anxious people. We had no acceptable ways to 'vent' our frustrations then it dawned on me.
I got everyone bubble and when we reached a boiling point we'd sit for a few minutes and blow bubbles. It seemed to slow us down and lower our blood pressure and human resources didn't seem to have a problem with it either! Who would have known something so simple? Another trick I used at work was a goofy little Pez dispenser I came across. I left it on a co-workers desk one day and did she laugh! It's what she needed, something silly, and something fun. These are both items that not only kids today enjoy but take us back to our childhood when things were so much simpler.
We look around and see so many items that were 'old' have now become new again. Taking things from our childhood and our past offer us a sense of warmth and happiness. Even a small stuffed animal can be reminiscent of and item from days gone by. Items that appear to be geared to children can be perfect for adults, or those of us disguised as adults. The idea of bundling together items that can bring out fond memories and the kid in all of us is a great idea for gift giving. Tie it in with some edible treats and every single touch and will be appreciated.
