My Story: My parents both developed high blood pressure levels by the time they had been 40 or so. All through my grad school, I should say also tested quite high - the instant I hit 190 systolic. Early this summer, I visited the doctor of medicine and they tested me and I was at 160/90. Part of this was "white coat syndrome", but on my own tests I was averaging about 143/88. In no way good.

All high blood pressure pharmaceuticals have dangerous side effects. Maybe not for all people, and maybe not instantaneously, but I personally see them as being a "last resort". There's also the question of whether high blood pressure is harmful, or if it is an indicator of some larger underlying disorder. I assume that it happens to be both.

Whatever the case, I got my blood pressure levels down to a substantially improved level. As i awoke yesterday I tested myself and got 108/80. Midday, I routinely run about 125/82.

Activity wasn't a sufficient amount of alone, but it helps. Weight training exercise is shown to be effective to hypertension levels, try to be careful to not ever hold your breath if it's already a good deal too high. Garlic extract and CoQ-10 are most likely one of the best difficulties you can start up with, and solved the problem. Hawthorn extract was useful. Hibiscus tea and celery seemed to be demonstrated that they are useful. Olive leaf is promising, We are going to try that and find out how it goes. There has been a single study that indicated that lycopene might also be of great benefit.

Vitamin D and fish-oil / omega 3s have a worthwhile but minor affect on hypertension levels, but they are extremely worth taking for other health and fitness reasons.

As far as I can tell, you will find no considerable uncomfortable side effects to these, but some of them (like CoQ-10) have rewarding side effects like enhancing gum and heart wellness. Ensure your CoQ-10 is either dissolved in oil or comes with a absorbtion aid, just because the powder is very difficult for the body to absorb. Garlic pills can burn the throat, consider getting a coated or aged one.

Ultimately, I am optimistic that the paleolithic-based meal plan (I consist of dairy) will fix many peoples' hypertension - I'm hoping to be able to be normotensive without supplements, but we'll see how that goes. Please remember that in spite of what you may do, blood pressure levels needs a couple of weeks to actually show a difference, so don't be discouraged if progress is slow.
