3 MLM Pro Tips to Make Your Blog More Productive

If you are driving traffic to your blog and you are not seeing the results you wanted, it may be time to assess your website and clarify your goals. Here are some following things you can do to help you make an assessment.

MLM PRO TIP #1: Clarifying Your Blog's Goals

Write down the primary goal for your website. Write a couple additional goals you may have for your site as well.

MLM PRO TIP #2 : Rate Your Blog's Components

Write down some of the elements your blog has, and give them a rating. Your blog will likely include a variety of different components such as (but not limited to):

product and service information

bios

news and current events

online lead generation forms

login for restricted information

links to other resources

customer testimonials

a strong brand identity

educational materials

media (pictures, audio, video) available for viewing

site map

site search function

blog postings and reader comments

methods for users to promote your site (share on Facebook, Digg, etc.).

MLM PRO TIP #3: Finding Your Audience

Who do you want to visit your website? Is it for all home-based-homeowners or for someone more specific: stay-at-home moms, young entrepreneurs, network marketers?

SCENERIO

Ok. Let's assume your primary goal is to have prospects opt into your Email list. Your two additional goals are for users to click on an affiliate link or banner ad; or to leave a comment

Your site's elements: News and current events: A; Online Lead Generation Forms: B; Strong Brand Identity: B; Educational Materials: D; Site Map: A; Login for restricted information: Future Goal

Your target market: People in MLM; Secondary market: Internet Marketers

An assessment: Since sign-ups are your blog's primary purpose, you will want to make it very clear to your viewers that opting into your list will benefit them. I believe some sites give too many options to the visitor. They are not likely to follow you on twitter, become your facebook friend, and opt into your Email list all in one visit! Get them on the Email list and THEN ask for that stuff later on in your emails.

*Right now, your site excels on news and current events happening within the MLM arena. If your viewers see an exciting headline, chances are they will exchange their email for it. Make this a requirement! If you give the visitor all your information without requiring an email address, chances are you will not get very many signups. If you have a different vision for your blog rather than news and current events, quit writing articles on these topics!

*Make sure when you are creating content or making improvements to your website that it will help accomplish your blog's goals. You can take care of the other stuff later on.

*The non-MLM internet marketers may find some of your information intriguing. If they don't subscribe to your list they may still click on one of your banner ads and end of buying something, which will earn you a commission.

*Make it clear in the titles of your posts that the information is for the network/internet marketer. If your titles are too broad you will attract many people that are not in your market.

*Writing down and assessing your blogs strenghts and weaknesses can help you guys sort what is working and what is not. I hope you follow the MLM Pro Tips so you all can have a juggernaut of a blog!
