If the level of LDL increases in your blood it causes trouble and there is risk of the above said ailments and cardiovascular problems.

The level of HDL should remain higher than LDL per deciliter of blood. The HDL should be minimum 40 mg/dL in men and 50 mg/dL in women. Lower cholesterol level of this HDL puts you at risk of heart disease. The higher amount of HDL in blood increases the protection from heart disease.

Causes of lower HDL and higher amounts of LDL Cholesterol levels in Blood

There can be lots of reasons that would trigger the increase amount of LDL and triglycerides in blood. The following are few causes of imbalance of cholesterol level in blood:

Heavy Smoking

Weight gain and accumulation of fats

Eating too much junk food and dairy products

High consumption of alcohol and lack of exercise

Eating too much of red meat and less intake of vegetables and fruits in your diet

Treatment of Cholesterol Levels

If cholesterol level test indicates high LDL cholesterol then you need to take care to treat your condition and prevent risks of heart diseases.

Home Remedies of Lowering Cholesterol:

Take a glass of milk and boil garlic in it. Drink the mixture every day to reduce the bad cholesterol level in your blood and bring back the balance.

Mix 10 tablespoon of apple juice, and add equal amount of apple cider vinegar and grape juice in it. This is a health drink and very much effective in reducing the high cholesterol amount in blood.

Another home treatment for high cholesterol level in home is to use sunflower seeds. It contains linoleic acid which helps in decreasing the LDL level in blood and also helps in proper blood circulation.

While you take green leafy salads mix olive oil in them. It is not only good for heart but also helps in proper blood flow and many other organ systems in the body.

Mix one table spoon of honey with raw onion juice and drink everyday morning. It will help you reduce blood cholesterol and also purify your blood.
