Islam, the second pillar of Islam! Doing good and shunning evil!

The first pillar of Islam is to believe in God, acknowledge Him as the one and only God, to worship Him, to love Him and to serve Him and. He is eternal and indivisible entity, creator of the universe and all manifestations of life. He begets non and is not begotten and to Him belongs everything. The return of mankind is only to Him.

Belief is not only is God but in whatever His messages have prescribed. God made man in order to worship Him and He gave man the charge of responsibility to freely believe or disbelieve in Him, to obey or disobey Him, to submit only unto Him or not.

God made man and gave him life cycle in order to put him to trial. The test is a life's test where man is tempted with good and evil and it is up to man to take either way. God has given humans the way to be good and perform good deeds and also showed him the way of the devil where the Devil's task is to dissuade humans from the path of the God and follow the path of the Devil.

Man is given the mind and the faculty of judgment, a life span and tests. If man chose to do good and take the path of God being the ultimate good then man shall be rewarded in a second life in eternal felicity. If a man chooses not to follow the path of God and disbelieve in Him, then this is considered as the ultimate evil and man is then punished with eternal Hell Fire following the day of judgment.

Muslims ought to believe in God, in His angels, in His books (messages), in His messengers and in the last day of reckoning.

Hence, mankind is classified into two major categories, those who believe in God and perform good deeds and shun evil ones and those who disbelieve in God. No third category is possible since it is either or. Any person who is a skeptic and alternates like a yoyo between the two options is considered a disbeliever, as long as he did not profess his believe.

Good deeds comprise of belief in one God, not having doubt about one's disbelief, then performing prayers, fasting, going on pilgrimage and paying charity to the poor. Many other good deeds are also provided in Islam, like being good to one's own parents, good to people, be honest and deal well in all fields of human relationships.

Evil doing comprise of disbelief, associating other gods with God, murder, killing, theft, instigating evil, blasphemy, hierocracy, slander, adultery, not giving in charity and disobeying God.

Doing good and shunning evil is then the second pillar of Islam. Islam charges every human being with such responsibility with the consequences of one's own deeds awaiting him on the day of reckoning.

Man makes his own destiny.
