Chris Ferguson is an American professional poker player. He won five WSOP events, including the 2000 WSOP Main Event and the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship in 2008. Along with Gus Hansen, Doyle Brunson, Chris Moneymaker and Daniel Negreanu, he is one of the best and recognized poker players of all time.

Ferguson started playing poker at the age 10. In 1995, he entered for the first time in the World Series of Poker tournament. Ferguson won the main event of the 2000 WSOP, winning the $1.5 million pot. In 2004, he entered the WSOP main event, cashing in $120,000 for his 26th place. In 2004, Ferguson helped launch the Full Tilt Poker online poker site. Ferguson finished second in the 2005 National Heads-Up Poker Championship. He reached the finals again in 2006, but finished second again. He reached the finals again in 2008, but this time won the title. He held the most wins in the event over its six-year existence, but now he's been passed by Huck Seed. In order to avoid providing information to his opponents he is a quiet player who adopts a characteristic motionless pose. Attempting to disguise the fact that he was a college student, when he first started playing poker he adopted his trademark wide hat and sunglasses.

His style is mathematical, using a powerful knowledge of game theory. He developed computer simulations to improve his understanding of the poker game.

Chris Ferguson is nicknamed "Jesus" because of his long brown hair and beard, which has become his trademark.
