subject: Massage and stress [print this page] Massage and stress Massage and stress
Hello my name is Lana, I have been a body worker, counsellor, massage therapist, and Tantric masseuse for over 20 years. In my massage practice I see many people from all different backgrounds, and age groups.
I do see many of my clients, who gain benefits from ordinary destress therapeutic massage, to sensual and arousing Tantric massage.
We can all benefit from massage and tactile therapies, helping to dissolve muscular tension, releasing the mind of stressfull daily thoughts. Finding that massage infusion, leads us, into a more meditative, relaxing state of tranquil, just allowing to let go, for a peacefull hour or longer, this helps to heal our body.
When we surrender the energy, we become softer, receptive, more relaxed, and we can move more freely, and able to receive. Some of us find it hard to let go, and our defences sometimes wont let us, to 'Reiceve'., that also means to let go! in massage terms.
It is important to be aware, of how whenunder pressure, of how you are, for stress is as you know, can even become life threatening. We can learn to modify it, or use it in a more positive way, by having resources to keep it at bay. Other resources can be used to express and utilise excess energy, in a more positive way.
Some of us who are a little hyper, or have nervous energy - a little exercise goes along way, well in fact whatever energy you are, exercise helps improve circulation, and releases endorphins, which revitalise our bodies, helps to release, anger, frustration, and stress, massage helps to heal on many levels. Moderate exercise, especially good for people who suffer from depression. I do want to say that depression can be a hidden repressed anger that we hold inside of us, as a counsellor I have seen this, when we let go and release ourselves, we can feel very liberated, many people dont realise what they may be holding onto.
Other benefits of massage apart from relaxation, it clears toxins and impurities, and improves flow of lymphatic system, therefore improving circulation.when we are congested, in our bodies, we are congested in our thoughts, one affects the other.
It is important to be aware of our individual energy and how we deal with stress, get to know our limitations, rather than allow stress to control us. For example, if you get stuck in a traffic jam, many of us do! - some really over react, yes we have all heard about road rage! -just an extreme example! but perhaps if we plan our route better next time, allow extra time for traffic or set out abit earlier, so we dont arrive at our destination with anger and blood pressure building up. we cant control the traffic, but we can control how we react to it, by learning from previous experiences. Let your experiences be your guide!
Other massage benefits, include releasing endorphins, these are natural pain killer chemicals naturally been realeased whilst been massaged, what we call that happy feel good factor! plus couples can massage each other, for stress relief, and improve communication in the bedroom! plus it can be fun, and adds a little morespice to existing relationships, sometimes when things get a little stale can be just the tonic!
Massageliberates us from been pent up in our body, and our mind. Please do indulge! in the finer things in life! - as it releases us, nourish us, and heals our whole being on many levels! I am a great believer in massage, as I look forward to my weekly 2 hours of sheer bliss! yes away from the madding crowd! - especially living in the city, for me its essential!
I have always had a massage regurlarly ever since I was 16! as it helped me sleep so much better!
Wishing you good health and healing, Lana of Tantricuk.com
