Perhaps, most of the people know that the analog wrist watches are a type of watches which has been divided by the criterion type of the display'. It is important to mention that there are no important differences between the mechanism of the analog wrist watches and the digital wrist watches. However, the mens quartz watch is usually more preferred as it is considered to bring more advantages over the digital watches. But it is all up to the individual preferences and needs.
Basically, the main and indisputable difference between the analog wrist watches and the digital ones is about the display. Unsurprisingly, digital watches use digital numbers for saying what time it is (for example, 5:30, 2:43, 3:19 etc) whereas the analog watches use another system. The numbers (from 1 to 12) surround the display and there are two or three hands showing the numbers (respectively the time). Perhaps, it would be useful to mention that there could be two or three hands (but never one!). When there are two hands, the clock gives information about the minutes and the hours, and when there are three hands- the analog wrist watches give information about the hours, minutes and seconds.
It is hard to say what kind of watches is better-to-use. However, it could be pointed out as a general rule that the analog watches are more preferred than the digital ones. The main reason is that they are considered to be more fashionable and classic, especially when it comes to the mens quartz watch. It would be kind of disappointed' to see a man showing a plastic digital watchas if he got it from his nine-year-old son.
Besides the fashion tendencies, there is another reason why an analog watch is often preferred over the digital one. Many people unconsciously associate the analogue display with accuracy and quality which is why the prefer purchasing them- they are kind of used to wearing such watches. And it is kind of difficult (and stupid) to give up such habits, especially when there is nothing wrong with having a beautiful analog men's quartz watch. Furthermore, that kind of watches are also associated with the so called eco drive watch which are designed to do as little harm to the environment as possible.
