Children have ditched their former obsessions with American super heroes and switched over to Japanese cartoon characters. Beyblades The original series was Beyblades: Metal Fusion, however now there are two other series that are available. The original series follows Tyson Granger, a young adolescent that possess superior battle skills in the sport of Beyblades. Beyblades are best described as a top that is launched from a launcher tool and dropped into an arena with another competitor. The show takes viewers on Tyson's journey as he battles different competitors in preparation for the ultimate tournament.

Yu-Gi-Oh The Yu-Gi-Oh series was based on a card game, which players in the show take part in. Contestants would duel against each using different monsters and characters to battle it out. Considered to be a fantasy style anime series, the characters in the show possessed powerful cards, which they could use at their disposal.

Pokemon Pokemon is one of the most popular shows to every be imported from Japan. The original series was so successful that creators made several other series that were based on the first series. The success of the series has since declined since it's original introduction, however you can find many of the sister series on cartoon networks, which air reruns.

Dragon ball Z This show was considered to be just as popular as Pokemon after its initial introduction. The current installment of the show follows the main character Goku as a grown man. He has a wife and a son and has begun living the quiet chapter of his life, when he finds out he is from another planet. The show follows him on his quest to discover his new identity and his battle with powerful new enemies.

Bakugan Bakugan is another anime series that was based on a card game. The cards were to be used in conjunction with small marbles, which would open up, releasing a monster. The original series had 56 monsters, which faced off against each, representing the player.
