Persistence for the Network Marketing Professional

Persistence for the Network marketing Professional.

Persistence, now this is a commonly used word, for the most part because it is the primary bottom of both failure and success. Without it success is nearly impossible.

It is captivating that only 5% of people at age 65, after 40+ years in the working world, are economically independent.

Now it would be somewhat silly to presume the individuals comprising this 95% set out at age 20 with the ambition to be unsuccessful. If questioned they were probably certain they would live a life brimming with success, fame and fortune. So why did such a massive majority fail to accomplish the dreams, goals and aspirations they desired in their youth?

Lack of persistence is the cause of failure. Achievement is not measured simply in terms of financial wealth, as each individual beginning their journey will have a different definition, yet Og Mandino describes failure as "the inability of man to reach his goals in life whatever they may be."

So why, as people do we find it so distressing to persist? Why do we fight to remain on our journey as soon as all the indicators suggest we are travelling the incorrect road?

There is honestly only one answer, we are our own worst enemies and defeat ourselves with our negative self talk; through repeatedly convincing ourselves of our previous failures, unfavourably measuring our weaknesses to others strengths, and constantly doubting our individual skills, can one day wear down the resistance of even the hardiest of souls.

So as a Mlm professional, someone intent on setting up and developing extensive distribution channels, how best do we deal with the failures along the way and continue our journey?

It may seem somewhat simplistic, but if we can condition ourselves with 2 positive habits, we will favorably increase our odds of exploding right through the intangible barrier enclosing our personal definitions of attainment.

So what are these 2 habits?

1. An absolute crystal clear perception of what it is we are seeking to accomplish. We should maintain our eyes, senses and attention fixed on this goal, no matter what obstacles and issues cross our path.

2. Affirmations (oftentimes referred to as Mantras). Through persistently conditioning our particular thoughts with the outlook and habits we wish to instil and possesses, will by definition, remove our minds from staying on the negative. Luckily we cannot think negative and positive thoughts concurrently, so through keeping our concentration resolutely on the positive, we are well on the way to enjoying the achievement we desire
