Local Mobile Marketing

The eleventh video in the series is: Acquire A Domain. I went to Google and I typed in "Local Marketing Round Lake Park IL" because I wanted to see where my business would come up in the search results. It did not show on the first page even though there are only a few marketing companies in my town.
Then I realized the other part of the change Google has made. If a business is not a local business, in other words, their customers can be anywhere, then Google does not try to match the result to anything local, it looks only for matching content. Google believes a "Local Marketing" company can have customers anywhere, and I think, for the most part, they are right.
I realized that for this search the mapped results will consider location. And sure enough, when I clicked on the "Maps" tab at the top of the screen, BML Local is #1 for this search term in Google Maps. I realize this is a round-about way to talk about acquiring a domain, but I will get there soon.
Now if I click on, what I am calling, my pin or my business name that brings up this information bubble pointing to my location for my business. The bubble contains a lot of the general place page information with links to more info - my place page - and other links like the one to my website.
The information on my website is very related to the information on my place page so that adds more weight or credibility to my place page. It also is a way that visitors to my place page can easily find my website. I believe this makes Google Places the best SEO, or search engine optimization tool there is for a local business. The video covers several options for acquiring a domain.
The difficult part of domain name and website is having a website that is mobile enabled.
