Doing the household chores is no joke. Everyone seems to want everthing to be perfect all the time and me to be on their beck and call. Well, I personally don't have a problem with that. But sometimes you find yourself caught between two mandatory must do's. Then it can be rough.
Even routine tasks like preparing meals can result in conflicts. I love to cook, and take pride in doing more than an adequate job of it. Recently, my son hit me up for some urgent help with his math homework just as I put some nice steaks on the grill. We beleive in supporting our kids with their homework, so I of course did what I could.
Somehow the math questions turned into some sort of philosophical debate. My daughter, Jenny loves math and tends to get a bit theoretical and seems to head off in tangents at times. I love it, but frankly have some trouble keeping up with her. Then a whiff of smoke hit us. Instead of medium rare, we were looking at black and leathery. I wanted to kiock myself. We salvaged what we could cutting off burnt edges, but it was mostly wasted effort.
Consequently, I only watched the thing go to waste and ended up preparing some instant snacks for me and my kids. That was before I got my new wireless barbecue thermometer.
Thankfully, I've licked the meat tending problem. Now dinner time is still a busy time, and there are always interuptions to deal with. My brother in law came through with a great gift that has solved my meat tending problems, a wireless thermometer for the barbecue. It helps me keep track of the meat temperature when I'm in the kitchen or elsewhere and frees me up to do the things I need to without having to worry about constantly watching the meat. It doesn't matter if it's on the grill or in the oven, as long as you have this thing attached to the cooking meat.
The wireless barbecue technology allows you to roam away from the grill and keeps an eye out on meat temperatures digitally. The monitor can signal you from as far as 100 feet away from the grill, which is more than enough in my case. It has variable settings, and will announce when the meat is almost done, done or overdone. I recommend you set it for almost done, and use that as your cue. It has separate temperature settings for beef, pork, fish, chicken. It may seem like a little thing, but it's made a big difference for me, and it's easy to use. You only need to make sure both the transmitter and the receiver have active batteries on them and they will surely work well.
I continue to marvel how much the technology of little things like this remote wireless barbecue thermometer mean to me. The freedom to tend to other meal prepartion tasks and whatever else may come my way may seem small and insignificant. But I can now cook with greater effifiency and confidence. The net result has been better cooked meals, and less food wastage which everone but our dog, Buster is happy about. My wireless barbecue themometer has been a small blessing, and I recommend them to all my friends.
