I've put together a video series, "20 Tips To Grow By", for businesses with a local market to a) help them get found by the people already looking for them, and b) help them do more business with their current customers and visitors.
The information in these videos could be vital to the success of your business. I offer you a Free Marketing Analysis because it is so important and I know I can help.
Ultimately, we will develop a long-term marketing strategy that combines online, offline, and mobile phone marketing into one plan!
The eighth video in the series is: Google Tag. Let's go online and find a Google Tag. Well it turns out that is not too difficult as Google is currently offering a Tag for free for 30 days. A Tag is a yellow rectangle or flag attatched to your Google Places listing and map pin.
My friend with the computer repair business in Lindenhurst IL has a tag on his place page. To find him I type in "computer repair Lindenhurst IL" and he is the first listing. I can see his Tag below his name in his listing on the left, and on the his pin in the map on the right. On his listing I can read his Tag "$10 off first time servive".
If I click on his pin on the map, that will open Google Maps with a large information bubble with his place page information, including the Tag information. On his pin on the map is attached a yellow rectagle that expands when I mouse over it to show the entire Tag information.
When we click on the Tag on the map pin we are brought to his Google Places Offer Page. The same happens if we click on any of the Tag links. Here we will see all the offers, the one that is a Tag and any other offers we have created for this business listing.
From our Google Places Dashboard we can access Tags. First click on the business name you want to add a Tag for. This takes you to the Analytics page. Near the top you will see "Add a Tag". If the 30day free trial is still available you will see that also. You can click on "Learn More" to see some of what I covered earlier in this video. The best thing about Google Tag is how many things you can have the Tag link to: offer, update, photo, video, reservation, or a menu. Each of these choices is explained when you choose it.
