How To Get Rid Of Bad Back Acne - 3 Simple Things To Do While Showering

Trying to get rid of any acne on the back is hard enough, but trying to find a way on how to get rid of bad back acne can sometimes leave you feeling helpless against it. I'd like to offer a little hope. In this article I'll be talking about a couple things that I've personally used to help with my own back acne. And I can honestly say, it was not a pretty sight. But, with these tips, you too just might have a fighting chance against that annoying acne on the back.

First things first, when in the shower, its vital that you wash your hair thoroughly. Why? Sebum (the natural oil that your body creates) is all over your hair. It just so happens that this is the same kind of oil that mixes with dry skin to create acne. Don't go over board with this idea though, there is no need to cut off all of your hair. When taking a shower simply wash your hair well and make sure to get all of the shampoo or conditioner out of your hair after you've finished cleaning.

While this is especially important for people with longer hair, as it can sometimes fall on your back and shoulders, it also applies to those with shorter hair. The sebum gets to a point, then slowly makes its way from your hair down your neck and shoulders and so forth.

If your not washing your hair a couple times a week already, its important that you do.

Next, your going to need to break away the dead, dry skin, and the bacteria that is on your skins surface. The best way to do this is with something call Salicylic Acid. You might have heard of this before. Found in many over the counter acne products, salicylic acid is a great way to combat against acne that is already there, and prevent more from developing.

You'll need a product with 2% active salicylic acid in the ingredients. Just check the back of the box or container to see this. When in the shower, apply this with a soft scrubber or using your hand all over the acne affected areas. Let sit for at least two minutes, then rinse. Do this 2 times a day, in the morning then in the evening.

Lastly, one of the best things for helping with acne is AHA (otherwise known as "alpha hydroxy acid"). The many benefits include, helping with wrinkles, promoting new skin growth, has been rumored to heal acne scars and of course helps with acne.

Because it creates an environment where your skin can develop healthier, glowing, new skin cells, it forces the acne to be gotten rid of faster.

How you apply this depends a lot on what kind of product you get. There are masks for this, creams, and washes. While their all pretty good, I've found the best results to be found in the creams and washes (not to mention their easier to use). The washes are pretty convenient because you can take a shower, and right after rinsing off the salicylic acid, you can apply the AHA.

You should put this on the same way you did the other medication, with a soft shower scrub or your hand, let it sit for 2 minutes so it can do its business, then rinse off. Do this twice a day. Within a short amount of time, you'll notice that this is a great way on how to get rid of bad back acne. Just be sure that you don't irritate the acne as that could make it worse.
