You may have your life together but somehow it's not complete. Your work life is fine, your social life is together and you have a nice happy home to live in with the money you have brought in. In fact the majority of your life is going swimmingly but it still does not feel quite right.
All the layers of your cake are there and all the right substances for a perfect life are there. But the icing on the cake is not there, and as such the taste of your life is quite bland. To really live your life you need to have the x factor, which is to have a love in your life. Without having a love in your life the quality of your life isn't quite the same.
The icing on the cake is the love in your life, and there are no ways in which to fabricate this feeling. You need to be in the right frame of your mind to ensure that you can achieve this icing on the cake. Whether it be a work mate, a friend, or someone completely random your life won't feel completely right until you have a love interest.
You can work as hard as you possibly can, and be as happy as you think you can be but it won't be fully complete. There is no way to reciprocate the feeling of having someone you dote on; in fact it is probably the best feeling you will ever encounter. At the end of the day it is the reason we were put on the earth for, and without the feeling of being in love, life isn't quite the same.
Whatever you metaphorically perceive your cake to be, when you look at it now there won't be icing on it. Everything in your life won't quite seem as good as it once did. There will be no icing on the cake and as a result life won't be quite as enjoyable.
If your cake has icing on it already then you are one of the lucky ones. You will be able to dictate conversations and life will seem as good as ever. Life will seem complete, and you will be able to seamlessly coast through life with all your life together.
If you don't have the icing on your cake then take steps to get there. Put yourself out there and you will have the best of luck in the future.
