Diamonds and quartz crystals figure significantly amongst the many 'wealth-attractors' from the mineral kingdom used in Gem and Crystal Feng Shui. Classified as Metal in 5 Element terms for Feng Shui purposes this article considers their practical use for wealth-enhancement purposes in terms of Rabbit Year 2011-12 and its Metal Year Element!
Feng Shui, Diamonds and Crystals.
In Feng Shui, Diamonds Are Classed as Metal. Glass and Plastic Copies (or Even Photos etc) work just as well as the 'Real Thing'. Quartz crystals in particular (also, similarly, classed as metal in 5 Element terms) enhance the energies and effects of other crystals they are displayed alongside as do those essentially American diamond- substitutes, Herkimer Diamonds although they, too, are simply quartz of a particularly pleasing variety!
Location
From a 5 Element perspective, Rabbit Year (2011-12) has Metal as its Year Element and as in Feng Shui, Diamonds (like Quartz) are considered Metal, This might be considered a fortunate occurrence for those wishing to benefit from their inherent attributes, considering their in-built alignment with contemporary Year Energies. Diamonds (and those objects/ materials with similarities and resemblances) are considered 'wealth attractors' in Feng Shui i.e. if displayed/positioned appropriately they may have this effect (and the N.W. sector of any particular location is the one to consider with this purpose in mind).
Due to the Feng Shui principle of 'resemblance', real Diamonds are not essential and glass or plastic ones work just as well (as do pictures or photos of diamonds) and are obviously cheaper to acquire.. I already have some large plastic ones strategically located at home obtained fortuitously from a now defunct store promotion. Other well-known wealth enhancers from the mineral kingdom include iron-pyrites (the principle of resemblance applies again here)l
Application
So, my Feng Shui tip for this year? Display some diamonds on your desk or desktop to encourage Rabbit Year (2011) to become a 'Money Bunny'. Back these up with Feng Shui coins and a Three-Legged Toad and enhance things if you can with a few quartz crystals! Things to avoid? Rabbit Years can be laid-back and relaxed but excessive laxity is best avoided during this period, particularly with reference to the Elemental nature of the prevailing Year Energies. Consider Fukushima-Uranium, is Yin (Soft) Metal but poor safety procedures regarding its use and unfortunate location on an earthquake and tsunami-prone margin have made a bad time worse for Japan, at present and circumstances may prove extremely expensive to remedy in the long run..
