University of Miami cornerback, DeMarcus Van Dyke has visited Philadelphia Eagles on Monday 4th April, 2011. DeMarcus Van Dyke was considered as the one of the best cornerback prospects for the 2011 NFL Draft.
Cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke has previously worked out with the Atlanta Falcons and Denver Broncos. In his fifty games from 2007 to 2010, he started 21 games and recorded 80 tackles with three interceptions including 10 deflections. DeMarcus Van Dyke made a 4.26 forty yard dash ran at the 2011 NFL Scouting Combine. At 2011 NFL Scouting Combine, he recorded the third fastest time in the last decade and he made 225 pounds bench press five times at the NFL combine.

Van Dyke scored two tackles at Ohio State in the last season and tallied a single solo tackle against Florida State, North Carolina and FAMU. He also made 10 assisted stops including three at Duke in 2010. The DeMarcus Van Dyke has never been a full time starter at Miami, during his four years at the University of Miami.
He stated his rookie season for Miami with 13 tackles and 1 pass deflection. Van Dyke was impressed by the coaches with his performance on the field. He was eagerly waiting for the 2011 NFL Draft, which is going to be held on 28th April.
Van Dyke proved to be a capable cornerback for the team, who made some big scores and he was pretty consistent when he got the chance to play. Cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke said that, he was working hard on his shape and doing exercises regularly. He added that he is going to spend few months with trainer Pete Bommarito at Aventura in Florida and he is also preparing for the drills at the NFL Scouting Combine.
