We love the saying - TGI Friday (Thanks God is Friday). I like to say -Thanks God Christmas is over. With all decorating, making plans about dinner and especially finding right gifts. Especially gifts. I don't like when people are returning their gifts to the stores, except if you can't fit in the size of sweater.When I am going for the presents, I usually think about myself - will I like this thing or not and my budget in the mind.. It is always good to give eatable gifts. Make your own basket with candies, cheese, jar of jelly or honey. For the wine lovers it is perfect to put a bottle of wine. Everybody loves popcorn, how about to find several brands of popcorn and stick the bags into tin? If you are good baker, make your own candies or some baked goodies and put in tin or box. Try to remember, what people told you about their favorite things and buy them like a gift.You will be always right. Add some nice words in the blank greeting card ( I don't like cards with the words in it ) and you are ready to rock and roll. What to do, if you don't know person too close. Write a check and give it along with the nice card. You must be very careful to give as a gift a pot of flowers or foliage plants. First of all examine how people love to have real plants in their houses .Do they love to grow flowers in the garden. To give real plant to somebody who likes artificial plants it is the same if to give a ballerina five pieces of rich cake to eat day after day. And the plants will face the death for sure. It is not a good idea. Gift cards- they are always useful, but rather boring.Combine the gift card with something you know you friend likes and it will become more interesting.
How to wrap the gift
People find difficult to wrap the gift. It is easy to wrap a box or a picture frame. But what to do with bottle of wine or basket of candies. You always can find a gift bag in the store, but it is not interesting.Wrap bottle like a candy, tie the ends with a nice ribbon and attach your greeting card.Or put your basket in the post office delivery box without wrapping and put gift card to the tin of the cookies.It's a fun idea. When I am wrapping boxes with the wrapping paper( for serious occasions), I like to put some handmade ornaments, faux flowers or Christmas ornament for the Christmas time. Try to find the same color wrapping paper and the ribbon, your gift will look different. Personalize your gift using alphabet stamps .Use your creativity and you won't need big money and expensive gifts for your love ones.
