Why You Should Kill Mouth Bacteria NOW

Did you know that right now, there are millions of cells of bacteria living all across your body? That is pretty bad, but what's worse is that a lot of them live inside your mouth!

Think about it. Your mouth is warm, moist and dark- any bacteria's or virus's dream! That's why if you don't take care of your teeth correctly, it's very easy to get gum disease and cavities in no time.

A lot of people floss and brush their teeth, but that isn't always enough. Sure, you're making your breath smell better and plucking out some bacteria, but the majority of it doesn't go anywhere with these methods. It just continues to sit in the back of your mouth and grow more and more!

So how do you get rid of it? Your best bet is with some kind of mouthwash. The most popular brand is Listerine, but there are a lot of them out there that do basically the same thing. For example, store brands will cost you much less money but do the same thing.

Personally, I'm a big fan of using 50% hydrogen peroxide, 50% water. Although it leaves my breath smelling HORRIBLE (my wife can attest to this), I like the fact that I can feel, hear, and see the stuff foaming up as it kills the bacteria in my mouth. I actually have to spit out half of it about 20-30 seconds into swishing, because it has gotten so foamy that it's hard to swish it all around!

Besides just killing the bacteria, I also find that this makes my teeth feel cleaner and look whiter.

However, everyone is different so use whatever kind of mouthwash you prefer. The important thing is to use it on a regular basis, either once or twice a day (depending on how much you feel like you need it).

If you have poor genes or a diet full of sugar, you may want to consider also getting an electric toothbrush to help you clean your mouth. Although these don't help you kill bacteria or anything, studies have shown that they do help you break up plaque and clean your teeth better.

If you or someone you know is looking for a new dentist, consider having them check out a site such as Dentist in Anaheim or Dentist in Glendale.
