Types of Liposuction

Types of liposuction procedures are based on the type of human body. Four different types of procedures are there and the person should be aware of it and should discuss it with your plastic surgeon prior to scheduling your surgery. There is a small difference and the person should know about each option and understand which type of liposuction your surgeon will be performing on your body according to your body type.

Fluid Injection Liposuction:

A medicated solution is injected into the fatty areas of the body before the fat is removed. It is made up of saline solution, a medication which is used to contract blood vessels in the specified area and a local anesthetic. Fluid injection helps your plastic surgeon to remove the fatty deposits more easily, and provides you with the benefit of reduction of pain and blood loss and also the injection of fluid works to lessen the bruising.

Tumescent Liposuction:

A swollen and firm state of fatty tissues is called tumescent when they have been filled with a medical solution. Generally, anesthetic is used in a solution injected into the fatty deposits which will be removed. This is a longer technique longer for a plastic surgeon to perform, the fluid contains the entire amount of anesthetic that you will need as a patient.

Ultrasonic Assisted Liposuction:

Two variations of ultrasonic assisted liposuction (UAL) are generally performed these days.

External UAL and

Internal UAL.

In the first one ultrasonic vibration are applied at the surface of skin. The ultrasonic waves pass through the areas of the body to be removed and cause it to turn to liquid. In the second one a special cannel is used and the ultrasonic energy is injected inside the body directly on the fat tissue.

Super Wet Liposuction Technique:

It is similar to that of the tumescent method in which fluid is injected into the areas where fat will be removed however, it uses less fluid.

Laser mole removal scar is a common technique which is used to remove unwanted tissues. Black and brown flat moles are treated through this technique.
