Basketball moves, in general, are individual actions used by players to pass by defenders. This way, they can gain access to the basket or get a clean pass to their teammate.
There are different types of basketball moves. Below are some of them.
*Dribbling- This includes the wraparound, spin move, crossover and behind the back dribble. Dribbling should be practiced often. Your ability to manage and manoeuvre is directly related to your dribbling skills.

*Shoots- This includes the lay-up (finger roll, tear drop, power stop/ drive), bank shot, put back and tip-in. Shooting is almost a given in practice, it is important and a part of the game. Make sure to practice your shooting from all around the court. Include in your practice shots like slam dunk shots and lay up shots.
*Guarding- It is an essential part of the game, including basketball. You should practice your guard both offensively and defensively. Here, you should able to stop the ball and stop your opponent. Drills on guarding should be learned to help you how anticipate moves and how to move efficiently.
*Rebounding- It is all about controlling the ball. You have to get the ball after a basket or the opponent may get the ball and your chance to score is lost. Rebounding can be practiced even on your own. Master your rebounding and this will allow you to be the best player you can be.
*Triple threat position and other related moves- This includes the jab step, pump fake, drawing contact.
