Getting The First Date!
Getting The First Date!

So you are in love with this guy. You have only talked to him a few times but you know he's the one. You can't get him off your mind. How do you get him to ask you out?

First thing I want to say is there is a difference between love and lust. There is no way you can love someone by talking to them a handful of times. Love takes time to grow and it needs to be nurtured. Lust however happens very quickly and the emotions involved can be a bit confusing. Before you can get this man you lust for to ask you out, you have to make sure he's interested in you.

Most men will flirt with the woman he is interested in, but there are those select few that flirt with everyone. You should first pay attention to how he acts around other women. Is he saying the same things to them that he says to you? Is his body language the same also? If not, then he's attracted to you.

Men are completely different around the woman they like. If he does weird things when he sees you and tries to show off a bit, then he definitely likes you. Other signs are the compliments or the teasing. Men are notorious for teasing the woman they want to be with. Sometimes they can even be a little bit mean. It's just something done as a boy and never changes. Most men don't even know they do this. Call it more like an animal instinct. Another good sign is if he gets pretty close. Leans towards you, maybe even bumps into you or touches your arm when he talks.

Then there is the eye contact. If he's shy he might avoid eye contact with you. If you can get him to look into your eyes, you will see him melt if he likes you. If he's not shy, and he likes you, he will make constant eye contact . In either case, if you lean towards him while you are making eye contact and he leans towards you, there is no need to wonder any longer.

So how do you get him to ask you out? You don't. You know he likes you but he hasn't done it yet. He's afraid to make the first move. So ask him out instead. Not many women build up the courage to ask out a man. They just sit around and wait for them to ask. You could be waiting for a long time, especially if he is that shy guy we talked about earlier. Chances are this will really impress him for you being so outgoing and forward.

If you don't want to just come straight out and ask him just in case there is a chance of rejection, you can go with the oldest trick in the book. Here's how it works. You are chatting about whatever, so you mention a movie that is out at the theater. He says "Oh yeah, I really want to see that" then you interrupt him with, "Are you asking me out? I would love to see that movie too!" This will catch him off guard but he will most definitely say yes. OR say he mentions something he's about to do like going to a concert, a football game, maybe even that he has to go to Walmart to pick up a few things. You can use the same line as before "Are you asking me out? I really need to get some things at Walmart too". Instant first date.

If he seems like he is just saying OK to be nice or maybe he says no, which he won't, but if he does, you can say "Please? I really want to see that movie. How about you buy the tickets and I'll buy the popcorn and drinks"? This way he doesn't have to think about how this has turned into a date and he doesn't have to pay for the whole thing. There is no more pressure. It has now turned to just a friendly outing together.

If you still don't want to do this and would rather he ask you out then all you have to do is flirt. And I mean a lot of it. That way he knows that when he does ask, he will not be rejected. And at the same time it boosts his ego and confidence.

So, waiting for him to ask you out could be a waste of time. By taking initiative and letting him know you are available or even stepping up and inviting yourself to whatever he's doing, you are certain to get that first date!
