About University of Oxford: The University of Oxford (informally Oxford University, or simply Oxford) is a public[dubious discuss] university located in Oxford, United Kingdom. It is the second oldest surviving university in the world and the oldest university in the English-speaking world. Although the exact date of foundation remains unclear, there is evidence of teaching there as far back as the 11th century.
