Whether you are a beginner or a pro, you can build the perfect table with the right set of table woodworking plans. A year ago I thought I would never be able to do something as cool as building my own table. That was before my cousin (who is a carpenter) introduced me to the woodworking project library I have today.
It all started when I needed/ wanted a new dining room table. I did what we all do and started shopping for one. The prices really blew my hair back, three grand for a table? Wow!
So I started looking for used tables, I found some nice ones but they were still expensive. Not only were they expensive, and although there were some very decent ones I could not find exactly what I was looking for. I had a very definite idea of what it was that would the best in my house.
When my cousin told me about the table woodworking plans he used he let me take a look at what they were all about. And there it was - the table I was looking for!
My cousin is stingier than I am and would not let me copy the files of the table plans I wanted. He said he had to pay for them and I should too. Not only that but once I finished the table I would want to other projects and would just be bothering him for my files.
You know what he was right. First of all the whole library of 14,000 woodworking plans, the customer technical support, the video tutorial library, and some other bonuses was only $50, I could handle that. Secondly, it was absolutely true; I wanted to build every single project in here!
Back to the table, I ended up with the table of my dreams, it was easy with the table woodworking plans that I have. I chose to use black walnut (to match the chairs I already had) and made the top out of quarter sawn pieces.
Attaching the legs and leg supports, I will admit, was a little tricky. But with the 5 minutes I spent with one of the video tutorials which covered exactly that, I was able to figure it out and execute it perfectly.
The funny thing is the thing I thought would be the easiest turned out to be the hardest; applying the finish. The thing is that if it is not done just perfectly the whole thing will be ruined, not totally, you could always sand it back down to the bare wood... But never fear, my table woodworking plans had tips on how to apply the finish correctly. Little things, like how to hold the rag or brush and how long of a working time you have before it all goes to crap.
I could go on and on, the truth is there is not enough room here to tell you how cool these plans really are. If you love woodworking, these are for you, in fact I would say you need them.
